Standardized, Scalable Talent Cultivation: SLKOR's Sun Gaofei Shares "One-on-One Mentorship" Expertise
In recent years, Kinghelm and SLKOR have experienced impressive growth, fueled in part by their unique “one-on-one mentorship” system. To further enhance this model, Sun Gaofei, Sales Director of SLKOR, led a focused Standardized Mentorship Training on May 10, 2025. Drawing from his extensive leadership and mentorship experience, Sun transformed valuable insights into practical, scalable frameworks. The initiative is designed to empower both new hires and seasoned team members, fostering continuous personal growth while accelerating the companies’ long-term, sustainable development.
A seasoned expert in electronics and sales leadership, Sun Gaofei brought the mentorship session to life with vivid, relatable examples. To illustrate common training mistakes, he used the classic fable of “the tiger and the cat”, cautioning mentors against overwhelming new hires with too much information too quickly.
Sun emphasized that effective mentorship is a process, not a sprint. He introduced a clear, structured training roadmap honed through years of hands-on experience, designed to ease apprentices into their roles without cognitive overload. “A good mentor doesn’t flood newcomers with knowledge all at once,” Sun advised. “Success comes from pacing the learning journey — steady, focused, and thoughtfully sequenced.”
For new apprentices, Sun emphasized the importance of proactive learning and teamwork. He encouraged fresh talent to actively seek guidance from seasoned colleagues and to master not only sales strategies but also in-depth product knowledge. Drawing a vivid analogy, Sun likened the learning process to “dissecting electronics like the human body” — urging trainees to break down products, grasp their underlying principles, and translate technical complexities into clear, practical insights that deliver real value to customers.
The session was widely applauded for its hands-on, practical value. Both new mentors and junior sales staff described it as “packed with actionable insights”. Zhang Junjun, Director of SLKOR’s Sales Division 2, praised Sun’s “clear, relatable, and no-nonsense” teaching style. He also urged the team to “face challenges head-on, stay fearless, and never limit your own potential.”
In his closing remarks, General Manager Song Shiqiang underscored the importance of continuous learning: “As our team expands, training programs on sales, management, and compliance will become even more critical.” He urged all employees to seize these opportunities — newcomers to acquire skills, veterans to broaden their perspectives — and collectively propel SLKOR toward a brighter future in electronics.
