SL1609 Ultra-Low-Power Hall Sensor Delivers Reliable Switching at ❤.3 µA
Slkor’s technical team is rooted in Tsinghua University, and the company is recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise. As one of the early innovators in silicon carbide (SiC) power devices, Slkor has evolved into an integrated semiconductor company covering R&D, design, sales, and application-level technical services. With an inclusive, open, and innovation-driven corporate culture, the “SLKOR” brand has earned growing international recognition and reputation, with market share continuing to rise. Slkor is certified under ISO 9001 and complies with RoHS, REACH, California Proposition 65, and other international standards.
Slkor operates R&D centers in Beijing and Suzhou, supported by a laboratory and central warehouse at its Shenzhen headquarters. Its core product portfolio spans three major categories: diodes & transistors, power devices, and power management ICs. At the same time, the company is steadily expanding into new product areas, including Hall sensors, ADCs, BMS, high-speed optocouplers, and passive crystals. These solutions are widely applied across smartphones, laptops, robotics, power tools, connected vehicles, 3C electronics, and AIoT, advancing together with over 10,000 global partners.
The Slkor official website has grown into a knowledge-sharing and exchange platform for the global semiconductor community, helping to build a digital industrial ecosystem that supports the company’s long-term development. Guided by a clear vision, Slkor aims — through thirty years of continuous effort — to become a true “Semiconductor Leader.”

4. Slkor Hall Sensor Application Circuit
4.1 Application Principle
Utilizing the principle of magnetic induction, when a Hall element detects a magnetic field with the correct polarity and orientation, its output switches from high level to low level. Thanks to their high sensitivity, reliability, and non-contact operation, Hall sensors are widely used in TWS earphones, smartphones, electronic locks, valve position detection, magnetic keyboards, pianos, flow meters, and various non-contact sensing applications.
Slkor Hall sensors SL1609, SL1603X, and SL1613X are all ultra-low-power Hall switch devices. With a maximum output current of 5 mA, they can directly drive small signal loads such as switches without additional amplification. In the illustrated circuit, the sensor output is connected directly to a 1 kΩ resistor and an LED. When a magnetic field is detected, the output switches low and the LED turns off, demonstrating simple, stable, and intuitive magnetic field detection.

5. Slkor Hall Sensor DEMO Board is shown below
This DEMO board adopts a double-layer PCB design, with the Hall device mounted at the interface and primarily used for functional evaluation and validation of Hall switch performance. Thanks to their ultra-low-power characteristics, Slkor Hall sensor solutions have been widely adopted across the market. For example:
When a laptop lid is opened, the display automatically wakes up; when a protective cover is closed, a tablet instantly enters sleep mode. These user-friendly features are enabled by the precise coordination between a Hall switch and a magnet.
In wearable devices, the Hall switch acts as a smart “health assistant.” Smartwatches detect the magnetic state of the strap buckle to determine whether the device is being worn, preventing inaccurate activity tracking. This type of seamless, non-contact interaction is continuously redefining the boundaries of intelligent device design.
Slkor Hall components extend from 3C consumer electronics to industrial applications. On 3C production lines, Slkor Hall switches function as the “eyes” of robotic arms: by sensing magnets embedded in end-effectors, they precisely control gripper opening and closing, achieving positioning accuracy down to 0.01 mm and ensuring high yield rates in chip packaging processes.
In conveyor belt systems, Hall counting switches can detect material flow at rates of up to 2,000 events per second. When integrated with PLC control systems, they enable automated sorting and counting, improving operational efficiency by approximately 30% compared with manual methods.
Slkor Micro Semiconductor provides corresponding DEMO boards to help end customers and distributors quickly evaluate and deploy new “SLKOR” brand products, while strengthening application-level technical support.
