Mr. Yang Heng, born in the 1980s in Bazhong, Sichuan, comes from Lianghekou Town in Tongjiang County — a place rich with revolutionary history as the Red Army’s first stronghold upon entering Sichuan. Growing up surrounded by stories of courage and resilience, Yang developed a deep-rooted patriotism and an unyielding spirit. He affectionately refers to himself as the "Handsome Ant", a metaphor for believing that even the smallest among us can chase towering dreams through relentless determination. The word "handsome" reflects his unshakable confidence and bold character.

Yang’s path to success is a testament to grit and ambition. After graduating from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2006, he stepped into the world of business as a frontline salesman in 2007. From the bustling streets of Shanghai to the innovation hubs of Shenzhen, Yang fearlessly explored diverse industries — from hardware and plastics to catering — before ultimately focusing on electronics and manufacturing. Over the past two decades, he built his business from the ground up, navigating challenges and opportunities alike. Today, he stands at the helm of a thriving enterprise, leading a loyal team and cherishing a fulfilling family life, living proof that big dreams belong to those bold enough to chase them.

"My philosophy is simple: genuine wisdom comes from within. It’s about self-discipline without constant reminders, freedom anchored by principles, and kindness rooted in empathy," shares Mr. Yang. He firmly believes that a person’s character far surpasses business skills in importance. "In both life and business, we must follow what I call the ‘Great Way’—an invisible but powerful moral compass. I value integrity, ethics, and personal character above all else, because these qualities form the true foundation of lasting success."

Reflecting on his distinctive leadership style, Yang admits, "I’m not your textbook corporate manager. My strong sense of camaraderie and idealistic approach sometimes run counter to conventional business practices. But it’s precisely this authenticity and heart-led leadership that have earned me the trust and loyalty of so many extraordinary people who’ve chosen to walk this path with me."

Yang Heng spends more than 300 days a year on the road, covering over 200,000 kilometers by air—outpacing even frequent flyers in the aviation industry. While the relentless pace isn’t something he particularly enjoys, he finds meaning in continuous self-improvement. A devout Buddhist, Yang makes it a point to visit temples wherever he travels and recites ancient sutras in Sanskrit. A passionate reader, he completes at least three books a month, meticulously taking notes and recording personal reflections. Since 2009, he has pursued executive programs at renowned institutions like Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Fudan University, dedicating 80% of his time to lifelong learning. "Knowledge is priceless," he says, "but theory must serve practice. A business isn’t a laboratory—it’s like a high dive. The fewer unnecessary moves, the safer and more successful the outcome."

His company, Shangge Industrial, reflects this philosophy. Meaning "Noble Virtues Like Water, Lofty Aspirations," Shangge embraces a value system of inclusiveness, humility, and strength without conflict. Established in 2018, Shangge Industrial has rapidly grown into a core distribution partner for over 40 top-tier domestic semiconductor brands. The company specializes in embedded systems, communication modules, positioning chips, analog devices, and power components, serving a network of over 10,000 customers. In 2024, Shangge Industrial achieved impressive results, reporting total revenue of RMB 1.35 billion, with core business income reaching RMB 1.15 billion — maintaining an outstanding 50% year-on-year growth rate. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the company now operates six subsidiaries and three investment arms, including Shenzhen Shangge Yundun Electronics, Shenzhen Shanghua New Energy Technology, and Shenzhen Shangyun Sensing Technology. With a national footprint of 30 offices and a team of over 160 professionals, Shangge is ambitiously evolving into a comprehensive industrial IoT platform, with a strategic focus on controllers, wireless data transmission, connectors, mobile energy storage, and sensor technologies.

"My dreams are rooted in industry, my hometown, and a deep sense of patriotism," Yang Heng shares. Determined to give back to both his native Sichuan and the greater community, he launched Shangyun Sensing Technology in May 2022 — a rapidly growing subsidiary specializing in temperature, humidity, and gas sensors. With a current team of 400 employees and having relocated twice to accommodate expansion, Yang is actively scouting locations nationwide with hopes of building a factory in Sichuan to support local economic growth.

When asked about the secret behind Shangge’s remarkable seven-year run of 50% annual growth, Yang smiles and says, “I reinvest 99% of our profits into R&D. That’s how you sustain innovation, profitability, and social impact.” Beyond business, Yang quietly sponsors 40 to 50 underprivileged students, providing monthly stipends and personal handwritten letters. “Their letters are my most valuable collection,” he says, revealing boxes filled with heartfelt correspondence — a reflection of the sincerity and purpose driving both his life and business.
