๐ Learning, Innovation, and Breakthroughs — My Summer Journey with Slkor
By Ma Ping, Intern at Slkor
I feel truly privileged to have spent my summer interning at Slkor Micro Semicon Co., Ltd. from July 3rd to August 19th, 2025. Over just 48 days, I gained far more than I expected: a structured introduction to the semiconductor industry, hands-on involvement in brand and product promotion, and the chance to grow quickly in a workplace that combines professionalism with a supportive, collaborative spirit.
From comprehensive training sessions to engaging team activities, every experience gave me a fresh perspective on how technology companies operate and innovate. This internship not only sharpened my professional skills but also reshaped my understanding of what it means to work — and grow — in the global semiconductor field.

I. Comprehensive Training: Building Skills and Perspective
At Slkor, talent development is more than onboarding — it’s about building both professional expertise and industry insight. The blended model of internal and external training gave me invaluable takeaways.
Internal Training Highlights:
Leadership Strategy – A session led by General Manager Mr. Song Shiqiang provided a clear view of Slkor’s development strategy, management logic, and his strong focus on employee growth.
Systematic Management – Senior colleagues explained workflow norms and efficiency tools, showing how integrating social resources and standardized contracts underpins the company’s operations.
Quality & Communication – Through real defect-handling cases, I learned how to resolve issues professionally, minimizing risk while maintaining customer trust.
Technical Knowledge – Chief Engineer Qin Xianghong from Kinghelm trained us on RF coaxial cable fundamentals, building a stronger technical base to serve clients better.
External Training Highlights:
Python Applications – From basic commands to data processing, I learned how to handle data efficiently for promotions and industry analysis.
Industry Outlook – Expert Mr. Tang Shiping shared semiconductor development trends and breakthroughs, deepening my understanding of future opportunities.
IP Protection – A session on trademarks and copyright emphasized the importance of brand protection, highly relevant to my promotion work.
Semiconductor Fundamentals – Training on semiconductor manufacturing processes connected theory with practice and solidified my technical foundation.
II. Promotion Department: From Learner to Practitioner
In the Promotion Department, my role combined industry learning with hands-on brand and product promotion. With my mentor’s guidance, I grew from a beginner into someone capable of handling tasks independently.
Key Contributions:
Translation & Optimization – I translated and polished 8 product datasheets, ensuring accuracy in terms such as power devices and voltage parameters. I also optimized formatting for clarity, moving from mentor-revised drafts to fully independent work.
Visual Promotion – Despite initial inexperience, I learned design software and brand style guidelines, producing 16 product graphics (covering power chips and power management devices). Many of these were later uploaded to the company website — a rewarding milestone.
This combination of structured training and practical responsibility allowed me to bridge knowledge with execution, turning theoretical skills into tangible results.
III. A Warm, Inclusive Atmosphere: Slkor as a “Big Family”
Heartwarming Moments
What struck me most about Slkor was not just the professional training, but the genuinely warm and relaxed culture. Mr. Song often referred to us interns as “kids,” which immediately dissolved formality and made us feel at home. Colleagues were equally welcoming — morning chats and lively lunch breaks helped me quickly adapt and feel like part of the team.
One unforgettable moment happened in my first week. I was quietly eating downstairs when I suddenly recognized a group of familiar faces — senior colleagues from the company! With my mouth full and cheeks greasy, I accidentally made eye contact. A colleague laughed, introducing me: “This is our intern!” Everyone burst into laughter, and though I was embarrassed, it instantly broke the ice and brought me closer to the team.
Collective Activities That Connect
Slkor places real importance on integration and bonding. Early on, I joined a “Newcomer Welcome Dinner” with my mentors and teammates from the Promotion Department. Over shared food and stories about our hometowns and career journeys, the atmosphere quickly shifted from formal introductions to genuine connection. By the end of the evening, we weren’t just colleagues — we felt like friends starting a journey together.
Our Promotion Department also organized occasional afternoon tea breaks. Sharing fruit and snacks with senior colleagues created natural opportunities to connect, reminding me that work is not just about tasks, but also about the warmth of shared moments.
As the internship came to an end, the team hosted a Farewell Dinner for us interns. We exchanged stories, laughter, and reflections on what we had gained. My mentor even prepared a small commemorative gift, encouraging me with the words: “Keep your passion for learning — the future of the semiconductor industry is bright.” That simple gesture left a lasting impression on me.
Conclusion
This internship gave me far more than technical knowledge in semiconductors, product promotion, and translation. It also taught me the value of team collaboration, professional discipline, and resilience at work. I grew from a newcomer unsure of how to contribute into someone capable of completing tasks with confidence — a transformation made possible by Slkor’s guidance and my colleagues’ support.
I am deeply grateful to General Manager Song Shiqiang for offering me this invaluable opportunity, to my mentor for patient guidance, and to my colleagues for their generosity. Moving forward, I will continue to strengthen the skills I’ve gained, keep pace with semiconductor industry trends, and pursue professional growth. At the same time, I sincerely wish Slkor continued success, a smooth path to IPO, and an even stronger position as a benchmark in the semiconductor industry.
