An Interview with Mr. Huang Wei of HenryTech

The 9th Annual Conference of the Sichuan–Chongqing Tongxin Association 2025 Concludes Successfully

Under the theme “One Chip, One Heart — A Renewed Beginning,” the 9th Annual Conference of the Sichuan–Chongqing Tongxin Association 2025 concluded with resounding success. Coinciding with this milestone, the headquarters of Kinghelm (www.kinghelm.net) and Slkor (www.slkoric.com) welcomed a long-anticipated and intriguing guest from the Sichuan–Chongqing electronics community — Mr. Huang Wei, Founder and General Manager of HenryTech (www.hltchips.com).

Born in 1980, Mr. Huang is a first-generation entrepreneur who rose from the grassroots through determination and grit. A true Sichuan “Paoge” at heart, his candid nature, generosity, approachability, and infectious optimism give him a youthful energy that resonates with everyone around him. Throughout this shared journey, members of the Sichuan–Chongqing Tongxin Association have consistently stood shoulder to shoulder, supporting and uplifting one another. Today, more than 200 Sichuan–Chongqing electronics professionals in Shenzhen — including Song Shiqiang of Kinghelm and Slkor, Wu Bo of LCSC, Jiang Xiangyang of Ruicai Electronics, and Yang Heng of Shangge Industrial — continue to walk this path together with Mr. Huang, bound by trust, camaraderie, and a shared vision for the future of the electronics industry.

Mr. Huang Wei, a native of Meishan, Sichuan, is also a close hometown friend of Ms. Wang Yawen, Founder and General Manager of Meiyijia Electronics, widely known in Huaqiangbei as the “Crab Sister.” Speaking about his roots, Mr. Huang reflected with deep emotion:

“There is a saying in China: No Sichuan, no army. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, 3.4 million people from Sichuan went to the front lines to defend the nation. That sense of duty runs deep in our blood. My grandfather fought in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and my father served in the military for 12 years. Their patriotism continues to inspire me — to carry this legacy forward, to serve others with an altruistic mindset, and to give back to society whenever possible.”

He also paid tribute to Mr. Song Yongshu, the father of Song Shiqiang, General Manager of Kinghelm and Slkor — a respected elder who was forcibly conscripted at a young age and sent to the Dahong Mountains in Hubei to resist the Japanese invasion. His story stands as another powerful reminder of the resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering sense of responsibility that unite generations across China’s electronics community.

Mr. Huang shared that HenryTech’s headquarters is based in Chengdu, Sichuan, with additional offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen Huaqiangbei, Beijing, and Nanjing, primarily providing pre-sales and after-sales technical consulting services.

Speaking on the brand philosophy, he explained:

“The name HenryTech represents long-term sustainability and altruistic business values. We believe that only by conducting business that truly benefits others can partnerships remain as solid as Mount Tai. My cousin Huang Gaofeng and I co-founded the company. Over time, our focus evolved from simply making money to embracing altruism, achieving mutual success with suppliers and customers.”

On the logo concept, Mr. Huang elaborated:

“The design is inspired by connection and continuity. It embodies unity, mutual support, and collaboration, while also highlighting independence and openness — a vision where everyone stands together, yet each plays their unique role.”

It is also noteworthy that HenryTech’s headquarters is located at Huaxi Science & Innovation Center, No. 50 Shuxi Road, Jinniu District, Chengdu. When asked why the company chose a science and innovation center over a traditional industrial park, Mr. Huang explained:

“R&D innovation has always been our top priority, and talent is our most important driving force. The science and innovation center offers strong talent policies — including housing subsidies, relocation incentives, research funding, and comprehensive support in areas such as talent apartments, education, and healthcare. These advantages allow us to attract and retain top-tier talent, ensuring HenryTech maintains a leading position in future technological competition.”

 

A First-Generation Sichuan Entrepreneur: Mr. Huang Wei

Those who rise from the grassroots often carry a distinctive brilliance. Known for his candid personality, Mr. Huang shared with a smile:

“At home, I’m a ‘henpecked husband’ — I cook, wash dishes, do laundry, and handle all the chores. Respecting and listening to your wife is actually one of the strengths of Sichuan–Chongqing men.”

As a food enthusiast, he added:

“China eats everywhere, but the flavor belongs to Sichuan. Chengdu’s skewers and Meishan’s Dongpo pork are must-try local specialties.”

As an electronics professional, Mr. Huang is both meticulous and exceptionally warm-hearted:

“My respect for others and approachability come from years of real-world experience. Whether communicating with partners or employees, I see my younger self in them. I don’t network for personal gain — I aim to share what I’ve learned and help others grow.”

Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Huang explained:

“I graduated from Xi’an University of Technology in 2002, majoring in automotive manufacturing. I began my career as a cavity filter process engineer. After eight years in the filter industry, I ran a grassroots, stall-style business from 2011 to 2015, providing white-label OEM services. In 2015, I officially launched the HenryTech brand. Today, we have over 50 employees, including 30 in production and R&D — with 12 design engineers and 4 process engineers — and 20+ in market development. We now operate our own brand and factory, driving innovation and growth across the industry.”

Mr. Huang highlighted that HenryTech (www.hltchips.com) and Kinghelm (www.kinghelm.net) are domestic technology manufacturers operating in distinct yet highly complementary fields. While HenryTech specializes in filters and clean signal processing, Kinghelm focuses on antennas and connectors, providing essential connectivity solutions for modern electronics.

Both companies exercise strong control over the entire production chain, from raw materials to finished products, playing pivotal roles in China’s shift from domestic substitution to deeper import substitution, following a development trajectory of imitation → innovation → advancement.

He added:
