Starting on the 26th day of the twelfth lunar month, the opening whistle of the 2026 Pengzhen Town Spring Festival Men’s Basketball League brought an electrifying New Year spirit to Lingxi Village. This was more than just a series of games—it was a powerful hometown reunion that reignited community pride and connection. Three days of intense competition—every game pushed to the very last second. We felt the heart-stopping tension of neck-and-neck scores, the fire of fighting back from behind, and even the bittersweet sting of falling just short despite giving everything we had.
Although we didn’t make it to the finals, not a single member of the Lingxi team has any regrets. We are not professional athletes—we are migrant workers chasing opportunities far from home, students returning from campus, and local entrepreneurs building our future here. Yet on this court, we became one team, united by a shared goal: to fight for the pride of our village.
